Stocks return to the green

The prices of the most shares on the country’s premier bourse gained on Monday, shrugging off the previous days' downtrend.

DGEN, the general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 133 points to reach 4,266 points at the end of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 273 advanced while only nine declined and four remained unchanged.

A total of 1,18,833 trades were executed with Tk 473 crore changing hands.

On Sunday, the trading at DSE reached 4,133 points after dropping 167 points.
