Stocks upbeat

The prices of most shares on the country's premier bourse gained on Wednesday, to continue a gaining streak of the previous few days.

DSEX, the benchmark general index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 4 points to reach 3,983 points at closing of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 140 advanced, 110 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

A total of 91,362 trades were executed with Tk 351 crore changing hands.

On Tuesday, the trading at DSE reached 3,979 points after gaining 62 points.
