Stocks upbeat

The prices of the most shares on the country's premier bourse clambered for the second straight day on Wednesday.

DGEN, the general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose 18 points to reach 3,673 points at closing of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 181 advanced, 63 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

A total of 57,383 trades were executed with Tk 145 crore changing hands.

On Tuesday, the trading at DSE reached 3,654 points after gaining 44 points.
