Stocks nosedive

The prices of the most shares on the country's premier bourse plunged on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DGEN, the general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed 51 points to reach at 4,260 points at closing of the day's trading.

Of the issues traded, 201 declined, 68 advanced and 15 remained unchanged.

A total of 62,656 trades were executed with Tk 220 crore changing hands.

On Thursday, the trading at DSE reached 4,312 points after dropping 96 points.
