State-run Moslin Cotton Mills handed over to Hameem

Hameem Group yesterday took over the ownership of state-run Moslin Cotton Mills Ltd in Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur to set up an RMG factory, Refat Garments, a sister concern of the group.
The mill had been closed for 24 years.
The factory will go for production in November-December, said the new authorities at the handing over ceremony at Moslin Cotton Mill High School.
The group bought the mill, which is situated on 80 acres of land, at Tk 135 crore.
Meher Afroze Chumki, state minister for the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, handed over a symbolic key and documents to Hameem Group Managing Director AK Azad. Textiles and Jute Minister Abdul Latif Siddique was also present.
