“Tiner Talwar” staged at JU

To welcome the first year students of Jahangirnagar University (JU), the Jahangirnagar Theatre hosted a two-day long programme on their campus premises, observing the theme--"Dipto Konthe Gay Shikal Vanger Gaan."

The President of the theatre, Professor AKM Shahnawaz of the Archeology Department, was present as the chief guest.

The much acclaimed production, "Tiner Talwar", was one of the two staged plays at the Selim Al Deen Muktamancha. It has been written by Utpal Dutta and directed by Hafizur Rahman Rana, a former general secretary of the theatre.

The story follows a troupe called the Bengal Opera.

Large numbers of theatre lovers flocked to the arena and enjoyed the performances.
