EWU Debate Spree'18

"Soldiers prepare for revolution, ethics and era."

With the above tagline, EWU DEBATE SPREE 2018 began on June 28, 2018. The 15-day long national debate tournament was arranged by the East West University Debating Club (EWUDC).

The tournament was a success, which involved participation of students from more than 50 universities from all across Bangladesh. The contests were held in three parts; a Bangla Segment, an English Segment and an English Novice Segment.

Teams East West University Debating Club, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology-1 and Islamic University of Technology-C became champions of the Bangla Segment, the English Segment and the English Novice Segment respectively.

Professor Dr Fakrul Alam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of East West University; Rawshan Ara Begum, Language Movement Soldier; and Arafat Mohammad Noman, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate, Narsingdi, were present as special guests during the prize giving ceremony.

Prerona Foundation was the Publication and Gift Partner; Star Youth, The Daily Star, was the Youth Engagement Partner; Radio Aamar 88.4 was the Radio Partner; and the Online Media Partner was Bangla Tribune. Also, the Print Media Partner was The Daily Ittefaq; and the Broadcasting Partners were Somoy TV and Jamuna TV.
