Star-DHL business awards ceremony starts

The 13th Bangladesh Business Awards ceremony hosted by The Daily Star and DHL Express to crown the country’s individuals and business houses for their extraordinary achievements began at the Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on Friday evening.
This year, individuals and businesses are being awarded in four categories — Best Financial Institution, Best Enterprise, Business Person of the Year and Outstanding Woman in Business.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith is due to hand over the crests to the winners as chief guest at the ceremony.
Business personalities, entrepreneurs, leaders of different trade bodies, celebrities and academicians have also attended the event.
The awards ceremony is an annual event of The Daily Star and DHL Worldwide Express (BD) Pvt Ltd to honour successful business personalities and business houses for outstanding performance, innovations, sustainable growth in profit and extraordinary contribution to society under corporate social responsibility.
