Some Ctg examinees demand re-evaluation
Around 70 HSC examinees yesterday demonstrated before the Chittagong Education Board, demanding re-evaluation of answer sheets of all HSC examines under the board.
They alleged that they did not get the results that they expected as the answer sheets were not examined properly.
“We do not want the board to only re-evaluate answer sheets of those examinees who apply to the board, we want them to re-examine all answer sheets of all HSC examinees under the board,” said Syeda Faria Ulfath, one of the demonstrating HSC students.
Contacted, Pijush Dutta, examination controller of Chittagong Education Board, said the board does not have the authority to look into the students' demand.
He said the students seeking re-evaluation of their answer sheets can apply for it through Teletalk SMS service within August 13.
This year, the board saw a remarkable decrease in the pass rate in the HSC examinations. The pass rate was 61.22 percent this year, while it was 72.31 percent last year.
