Shots fired at Khaleda’s Gulshan office

Unidentified criminals fired three gunshots targeting the Gulshan office of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Sunday night.

The opposition leader was staying at the office at that time, a staff of the office told The Daily Star.

Earlier in the evening, she chaired a meeting of the BNP-led 18-party opposition alliance at the office which decided to enforce a nationwide daylong hartal on Tuesday.

The office staff says three young men riding separate motorbikes arrived at the main entrance of the office around 11:35pm and fired three gunshots targeting the office.

The criminals fled the area immediately, adds the staff.
