Shibir's half-day hartal in Comilla Thursday

Islami Chhatra Shibir has called a half day shutdown in Comilla district for Thursday protesting the death of an activist of the Jamaat-e-Islami backed student organisation.

The hartal will start at 6:00am, Monir Hossain, the district unit president of Shibir, told our Comilla correspondent.

Md Aziz, a Shibir activist of Feni Government College, was beaten to death by some unidentified miscreants at Chouddagram upazila of Comilla on Monday night.

ATM Masum, ameer of Alkora union unit Jamaat, alleged that Aziz was killed by cadres of Bangladesh Chhatra League, student wing of the ruling Awami League.
