Shawkat Osman's birth anniversary tomorrow

The 84th birth anniversary of litterateur Shawkat Osman will be observed at the Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium in the city at 4 pm.

Organised by Shawkat Osman Parishad in association with the Directorate of Public Library, the programme will be presided over by Prof Alauddin Ahmed, MP.

State Minister for Planning Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir will be present at the programme as the chief guest while Poet Shamsur Rahman and Prof Mustafa Nurul Islam will be present as special guests.

The keynote paper at the programme will be delivered by Dr Abul Azad. Journalists, writers, educationists, poets, and artists will also take part at the discussion.
