Shajal crowned winner of “Power Voice 2012”

The glamorous grand finale of musical reality show “Power Voice 2012” on Saturday saw Shajal emerge as the victor, leaving behind five other finalists. The programme was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, and was telecast live by Channel 9.

Shajal took home Taka 10 lac and a brand new Mitsubishi car, while joint first runners--up Eva and Kornia won Taka 5 lac. Second runner-up Raju won Taka three lac. The other two contestants – Shamim and Beli – were awarded Taka 50,000 each. The top five contestants will also receive gift hampers from Diamond World, and an album deal with G-Series, one of the leading record labels of the country.

The top 11 contestants of the show performed songs at the programme, while dancers of Eagle group danced to it. Judges of the competition Bappa Mazumdar and Emon Saha were present at the event –emceed by singer Akhi Alamgir. Tanvir Khan directed the programme.

Private TV station Channel 9, in association with Pran-RFL organised the musical talent hunt.
