Seniors responsible for JS badmouthing: Suranjit

Senior Awami League Leader Suranjit Sengupta has held senior lawmakers responsible for encouraging young parliamentarians to use indecent words in Jatiya Sangsad.

Addressing a conference of a pro-Awami League cultural organization at Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) office in the capital Saturday, the minister without portfolio said that few parliamentarians are "contaminating" the JS atmosphere by using filthy words in their speech.

The senior lawmakers are not only refraining from stopping their young colleagues from using indecent words but also encouraging them by thumping the tables, said Suranjit.

Saying that the parliament is not a place for reproach and slanders, Suranjit said, "They are not only defaming themselves but also the parliament."
