Security service co plans home alarm system
Group 4 Falck, the world's second largest multi-national private security agency, is going to expand its service programme by introducing home alarm system and ambulance service very soon in Bangladesh.
The announcement was made on the occasion of merger of Group 4 with Denmark-based Falck A/S, a Nordic-based safety and security organisation, and USA based Wackenhut Corporation. After this merger, Group 4 has come to be known as Group 4 Falck.
Group 4 Falck Managing Director Selim Chowdhury said, "We are planning to introduce both home alarming system and ambulance service in Bangladesh by June this year." He was speaking at a press briefing at Dhaka Club on Saturday. The Group 4 Falck would bring a couple of ambulances from Europe including foreign doctors and highly trained nurses, he said.
Selim Chowdhury said after this merger, Group 4 Falck has become world's second largest security organisation in terms of turn over, next to SECURITAS. The Group 4 Falck has been providing security services in three sectors- guarding, cash-in transits and electronic security system- in Bangladesh since 1998, he added.
"The Group 4 Falck is committed to providing international standard services to the clients," he said.
In reply to a query, Selim Chowdhury said the company is engaged in providing security to most of the diplomatic missions in Dhaka, apart from multinational and local companies.
Group 4 Falck is now providing their services in 80 countries around the world.
The company has highly trained 2,800 security personnel, including 50 women, in Bangladesh.
There are 208 registered and unregistered private security companies now working in the country.
