RU teacher suspended for swindling students

A teacher of Rajshahi University's law department was suspended for swindling students out of their money in the name of multi-level marketing.
The decision to suspend associate professor Dr Zulfiquar Ahmed was taken at a syndicate meeting on Thursday night.
Contacted, Amzad Hossain, a syndicate member, said a probe found that Zulfiquar had taken large sums of money from students to invest in his outsourcing-based MLM company “Quia-Timet Quality (Int.) Ltd”. He took the money as registration fees but he did not return the fees though he closed his business, Amzad said.
