ROK keen to invest more in EPZs

South Korea is keen to invest more in the Export Processing Zones in Bangladesh. This was disclosed by the South Korean Ambassador in Bangladesh K H Lee while inaugurating a South Korean industry, D&S Mode (BD) Ltd in the Comilla Export Processing Zone on Saturday, says a press release.

D&S Mode, the first industry in Comilla EPZ, will produce sweater and acrylic yarn.

The South Korean envoy said his country wants to be the partner of progress in Bangladesh.

With this end in view, the South Koreans are coming in a big way to invest in the EPZs.

The Koreans, he said, are interested to invest in the medium and small scale industrial units in the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones.

Referring to the under-construction Korean EPZ in Chittagong, Lee said, with the commissioning of this zone, the South Koreans will come in a massive way, because the Koreans like to live and invest in a clustered way.
