Road crashes kill five, injure five

Five people were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in the country yesterday.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent reports, Sanjida Khatun, 6, daughter of Shahidul Islam of Mohodipur village, died after a truck ran her over at Chhatrajitpur Bazar of Shibganj upazila yesterday..
A Comilla correspondent adds, a youth was killed and three others were injured when a mini truck collided head-on with the CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying them at Khilbazar in Monoharganj yesterday.
The deceased was Jamal Ahmed Badsha, 16, of Nangolkot upazila. The injured were admitted to Monoharganj Health Complex.
Meanwhile in Debidwar upazila, Surooj Mia, 60, of Fatayabad village, died when a tractor hit the auto-rickshaw carrying him at Barera.
Our Jhenidah correspondent reports, a person was killed and two others were injured when the human hauler carrying them collided head-on with a three-wheeler at Tetultala bus stand in Sadar upazila.
The deceased was Efaj Uddin, 36, driver of the hauler. The injured were rushed to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital.
Our Munshiganj correspondent adds, Jasim, 25, was killed when a passenger vehicle overturned at Keyotkhali in Shreenagar upazila yesterday.
