Road crashes kill 7
Seven people were killed and eight others injured in road accidents in the country yesterday and Wednesday.
Our Dinajpur correspondent reports, two persons were killed and another was injured when an oncoming bus rammed their bicycle at Dhakamor in Phulbari upazila yesterday.
The dead were Ujjal Biswas 30, of Phulbari upazila, and Azimul Haque, 28, of Parbatipur upazila.
A Bhola correspondent adds, Rubel, 16, son of Rafikul Islam, died after a battery-run auto-rickshaw hit his bicycle at Jogir Ghol in Sadar upazila yesterday.
Our Barisal correspondent adds, Miraj, 26, of Bhola, died as he fell from the roof of a moving BRTC bus at Bakerganj on Patuakhali-Pabna route yesterday.
Our Bogra correspondent reports, two persons were killed and another was injured when a truck crashed into a shop at Sherpur bus stand in Bogra municipality on Wednesday.
The dead were Ashkan Ali, 40, and Babu Mia, 35. The injured is Nikhil.
A Comilla correspondent adds, bus driver Rafiqul Islam, 20, was killed and six passengers were injured when the vehicle collided head-on with a truck on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chauddagram upazila yesterday.
