Three young men died and another was critically wounded in two separate road accidents in the city yesterday, police said.

Sumon, 21 and Jalil, 20 died on the spot and Zakir, 18 was critically injured when a truck crushed their auto-rickshaw at Paltan inter-section at 5 am.

They were going to Sadarghat river terminal. Zakir was admitted to Chest Diseases Hospital.

In another accident, Ali, 20, was hit by an auto-rickshaw at Chawkbazar around 8-30 am. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical Hospital where he succumbed to injuries in the afternoon.
