Rizvi gets HC bail

The High Court on Monday granted bail to BNP Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed in a case filed on charge of blasting cocktails in Nayapaltan area.
Now there is no legal bar to his release, Rizvi's lawyer Sagir Hossain Leon told The Daily Star.
Police on March 12 filed the case against Rizvi and several others under explosives substances act with Paltan Police Station.
Earlier on April 17, the HC issued a rule upon the government to explain in four weeks why Rizvi should not be granted bail in this case.
After holding hearing on the rule, the High Court on Monday granted bail to the BNP leader in this case.
The BNP leader had earlier secured bail in three other cases.
