Rail link of Dhaka with Ctg, Sylhet restored

Rail communications on four routes connecting mainly Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet restored around four hours after six compartments of a train derailed in Kashba upazila of Brahmanbaria Thursday morning.
Train movements on Dhaka-Chittagong, Dhaka-Noakhali, Dhaka-Chandpur and Sylhet-Chittagong routes started around 3:35pm after a relief train from Akhaura Railway Junction rescued the compartments, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
The rail communications were snapped after a Sylhet-bound train 'Paharika Express' from Chittagong veered off the tracks near Kashba Railway Station around 11:45am.
Earlier, Akhaura Railway Junction Superintendent Abdul Motalib said the rail communications will be restored as soon as the relief train salvages the bogies.
