QU students continue their fast-unto-death programme
The students of Queens University continued their fast-unto-death programme for the second consecutive day yesterday, to press their 21-point demand which include stopping conspiracy to oust the vice-chancellor of the university and appointment of VC through presidential recommendation.
The students styled under the banner of "Queens University Chhatra Sangram Parishad" has been agitating on the campus for the last few days also to protest against what they alleged were "irregularities and corruption" by the QU authorities.
Same students including Shahedul Islam Tipu, Tanzir Ahmed, Ruhul Kuddus Babu, Kabir, Apu, Prince and Ajzal Syed Munnan became ill yesterday on the second day of the fast-unto-death programme.
They were admitted to different hospital and private clinics.
The students threatened to continue their programme until realisation of their demands.
