A prisoner of the district central jail died at Comilla Medical College Hospital on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Baharul Alam, 53, of Raipura upazila in Narsingdi district.
Jailer Nasir Ahmed said Baharul fell unconscious due to respiratory problem in the afternoon and he was given first aid at the jail hospital.
When his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to the hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
On June 23, Baharul was arrested in a drugs case.
