BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman has called upon the party’s leaders and activists to prepare for a movement, instead of election, for the restoration of caretaker government.

Addressing an iftar programme at a London hotel on Wednesday, Tarique placed his party’s future plans on different sectors including education, agriculture, traffic tailback, ICT, industry, export-oriented economic policy and tourism.

Tarique, also elder son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, pointed out what kind of development might take place in the sectors in the next five years.

Several hundred BNP leaders and activists staying in London had to buy tickets at different prices to attend the programme.

This was Tarique’s second public appearance during his nearly five year’s self-exile in London since 2008.

In his over one-hour long speech, the BNP leader did not make any comment on the ruling party or the government.

After reaching the venue, Tarique who is considered the next person to lead BNP after his mother, directly took seat on the dais.

While placing his plans, he said number of country’s unemployed forces will reduce to under one crore from existing three crore if these plans can be implemented.
