Police yet to nab cricketer Babu

Police are yet to arrest cricketer Shafiuddin Babu and his friend who allegedly set afire a female student of Ahsanullah University Saturday even after four days of the incident.

Police raided several places including Babu's residence at Motijheel T&T colony over the past days, but could not trace the two -- Babu and his friend Ariful Islam.

Babu and Arif have been missing since Monika Afroz Mimi, 22, a third year student of architecture at Ahsanullah University, was set on fire in front of her hostel at West Razabaar Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the condition of Mimi remained unchanged as she fights for life at the City Hospital with 75 per cent of her body badly burnt.

Doctors removed the burnt skin of Mimi's hands yesterday so that the infectious cannot harm any other part of her body.

The doctors will remove the burnt skin of her leg tomorrow, family sources said.
