Police informer killed in city

A police informer was killed by unidentified armed men at Madhyapara in Khilgaon area of the city yesterday.

The victim was identified as Sabdul, 26, son of Baset Ali and a resident of Shipahibagh area.

Hospital sources said that a gang of five men attacked him when he was returning home at Madhyapara. The gang shot him first and then stabbed him in his chest at about 6.30 pm.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where he died at around 9.00 pm.
