PM advisers skip cabinet meeting
None of the 11 advisers to the prime minister attended the weekly cabinet meeting today.
Reasons behind their absence could not be known immediately.
All the 28 ministers and state ministers were present at the meeting held at the Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, said Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, Bhuiyan termed the cabinet as "pre-election and polls-time government".
"It is an all-party polls-time government as we offered all the political parties to join the new cabinet," the secretary quoted the PM as saying.
