One day weekly holiday in govt hospitals

The government has decided to introduce one day weekly holiday instead of two days in all government hospitals from February 1, reports BSS.

Government hospitals will enjoy weekly holiday on Fridays. Currently the hospitals enjoy holidays on Fridays and Saturdays.

It was decided at a meeting yesterday at the Health Ministry. Health and Family Welfare Minister Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim and leaders of National Executive Council of Government Employees Association under the Health Department, Third and Fourth Class Employees Association of different government hospitals and Central Coordination Committee of the Employees of the Health Department attended the meeting.

The health minister said the government has decided it considering the importance of health services.
