Obituary

Alhaj Abdul Awal Khan, former district controller of food and a renowned social worker, died of old age complications in the city on January 5 at the age of 70, says a press release. He left behind his wife, three sons and four daughters.

He was buried at Mirpur Intellectuals Graveyard.

His qulkhwani will be held at his family residence at 273/1, Shankar, Zafrabad in the city after Asr prayers today.

Relatives, friends and admirers have been requested to attend.
