Niaz leads GM chess in Kolkata

Grandmaster Niaz Murshed shared the lead with eleven other players with maximum two points after the second round of the SREI International Grandmaster Chess Tournament which is being held in Kolkata.
Niaz beat IM Kathikeyan of India in the second round.
FM Debaraj Chatterjee earned 1.5 points after drawing against FM Sharsal Shahi of India in the second round.
A total 100 players including 22 grandmasters, 2 women grandmasters and 24 international masters from 13 countries are participating in the event.
