Natore Govt College closed sine die

NATORE, Jan 23: Natore NS Government College has been declared closed for an indefinite period following a clash between the activists of BCL and JCD on the campus yesterday.

The authorities took the decision at a meeting today apprehending fresh violence.

Two rival student organisations - JCD and BCL - clashed over admission to the first year Honours classes in the college. At least 30 people were injured in the clash.

Police arrested 31 people in connection with the clash. Of them, ten were released while the rest sent to jail.
