Musicians stand up for Savar victims

In the wake of the tragic events at Savar, when the youth are doing whatever is in their reach to help victims and their families, two familiar names in the underground music scene -- Arbovirus and Shunno -- are playing at the Kozmo Lounge (Banani) this weekend to raise funds.

Kozmo (A)Live is a known brand of events for the young music listeners of Dhaka; the lounge has been organising musical evenings with noted and new bands alike for quite a few years now. This time, they are stepping up to a cause, to lend a hand to the helpless. All proceeds of ticket sales, and any further donations, will go to a fund helping in treatment and rehabilitation of the sufferers of the tragic building collapse.

Arbovirus will be on the stage at the lounge from 8:30pm today, while Shunno will put their musical talents up for the noble cause tomorrow at the same time at the same place.

Volunteers from Jaago Foundation will be collecting the funds. The concept of the shows were designed by “Inspire”, while Radio Shadhin 92.4fm are also partners to the programmes.
