Missing BGB man found dead
Body of a missing Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) member was found at a jute field at Munshipur in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district yesterday noon.
Nayak Amirul Islam was posted at Munshipur camp of BGB-6 battalion under Mirpur sector of Kushtia.
Lieutenant Colonel Gazi Asaduzzaman, commander of BGB-6 Battalion told this correspondent that Amirul went out of the BOP (border observation post) at about 5.30am to patrol the Munshipur border area and since remained missing.
Later BGB launched a search and found him dead along with firearms at a jute field at about 2.30pm.
“Heart attack might have the cause of his death as he was a cardiac patient,” Asaduzzaman said.
