Milk Vita suspends 2 officials

The authorities of state-run dairy firm Milk Vita yesterday suspended two officials of Manikganj plant on charges of procuring adulterated milk, said an official press release.
The two are Dr Md Enamul Haq, manager, and Md Shahjahan Mia, laboratory technician.
The adulteration was detected when a consignment of 5, 500 litres of raw milk, sent from the Manikganj plant on August on 23, underwent a chemical test at the Mirpur pasteurisation plant of Milk Vita in the capital. Soon after the test, the consignment was sent back to the plant.
