A man was hacked to death allegedly by his neighbours at Mistripara in Chittagong city on Thursday night over a land dispute.
The victim was Md Abdul Halim, 32.
Police arrested Abdur Rahman and Md Mamun in this connection yesterday.
Quoting Halim's family members, Double Mooring Police Station Sub-Inspector Ruhul Amin said one Farhad Uddin Khan and 15 others attacked Halim when he was returning to his home around 8:00pm and he died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) around 10:00pm on Thursday.
There was a long standing dispute between Farhad and Halim over the ownership of a land, he said.
Halim's wife Abeda Sultana filed a case accusing nine persons, including Abdur and Mamun, and another seven unnamed persons of Mistripara in this regard.
