Man dies as train runs him over

A man died when a train ran him over at Doulatganj in Laksam upazila of Comilla yesterday morning.
The deceased was Sudir Saha, 55, a Chanachur vendor, of Sahapara in Uttar Laksam upazila.
Subas Kanti Das, officer-in charge of Laksam Railway Police Station, said the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound train, Upakul Express, run over Sudir while he was crossing the rail tracks in Doulatganj Bazar Rail Gate area around 10:30am.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
A case was filed with Laksam Government Railway Police Station in this regard.
