Sequin's back again!

You thought sequins only looked good at a disco? Think again! Because these shiny sparklers have come back with a rage this summer replacing florals and screen prints on the global fashion runway. Be it Milan, New York or London Fashion week, all the giants went heavy on sequins for spring- summer 2018. So, if it means that the world has put on hold the effortless, low-on-the glam look for the moment, who are you to deny the kicking-off?

Excited enough already? We bet you are! With limitless evening-ready looks coming into mind, it is definitely a tough task to manoeuvre to the ones you surely want. And that is exactly why we are here for.

Bomber jackets, A-line gowns and miniskirts look smashing when covered with sequins but so do sari blouses, kameez, tops, shoes and clutches. You can add in a bit of sparkle anywhere you wish.

What's most important to keep in mind, is the colour of the sparklers; from rustic golden and antique silver to muted pinks and bronze – sequins come in all shapes, sizes and colours. It is for you to choose your poison.

We can only help you with the styling!

Look #1

The secret is to always balance the look you want to create. Having said that, it is super classy to pair a high-octane sequined top or frock with a pair of jeans, jeggings, leggings or casual sweats.

Look #2

Sequined suits, A–line skirts, minis and sequined trousers etc. pair amazingly well with bold and single hued tops.

Look #3

The top-to-toe bronze glittery look! You want to indulge in a splash of sequins, here's your chance to do so without raising any eye brows from theneighborhood fashion police.

Put on a long sequined and sheer evening dress complimenting your silhouette. Match it with fantasy sequined loafers, court shoes or flashy T-bar heels and you have got yourself the perfect red-carpet look. Don't forget to match a sequined bronze clutch with your get-up.

Look #4

If you have always vouched for the eastern look and fusion was 'just your thing'! Then a bit of glitters in your sari blouse can do wonders.

Remember to wear a solid coloured sari perhaps in velvet or silk and fill-in the borders with the same sequins used in the blouse. Ruffled saris with flared and opulent sequined sleeves look every bit hip and retro. Perfect for the evening kitty parties with friends!

Look #5

You want to go every bit deshi but are not too keen on wearing the sari? Please do not lose hope, because styling is meant to be flexible.

You can implement intricate sequin details on to your favourite kameez anytime you wish. To stand out from everyone else, choose a cut that turns heads, like an off-shoulder or sheer and flared sleeves.

Look #6

Finally, the cult item for 2018 would be a sequined crop top. What works best is the amalgamation of bold designs breaking up the glossy embellishments midway.

The most important thing to remember is that you can never go wrong with glittery top and relaxed jeans!

For quite a few years now, minimalism has reigned supreme but it's about time to put the subtle, earthy tones back where they belong – in the storage, and make way for the  flashy Instagram generation of the 21st century.

Let's welcome back the flashy, disco loving style of the 80's and merge it with the millennial style to finally have some fun.

Way to go tassels, beads, feathers and sequins!
