A literary genius

September 3 was Abul Mansur Ahmad's 120th birth anniversary. He was not only a writer but also a renowned politician, lawyer and journalist. He was the first writer in Bangla literature to have written political satire. Aina, Asmani Purdah, Gulliver er Safarnama and Food Conference are some of his most famous satirical works. Most of his novels and short stories were also based on social problems and injustices. He was always vocal against social injustices and religious bigotry. His literary works are still relevant for our times. We pay our deepest respects to this literary genius.
