Chittagong University hosts as many as 25,000 students but does not provide them with adequate accommodation or transportation facilities. Most students live outside the campus and they can only depend on the shuttle train that carries students from Chittagong town to the universities. However, the rail service is plagued with a number of problems including shortage of comfortable bogies and lack of proper management.
The problem can easily be solved if the university and railway authorities pay attention to the problem. We earnestly request the authorities concerned to take this issue seriously.
