The deadlock between the cricketers and the Bangladesh Cricket Board is temporarily over following a meeting with State Minister for Youth and Sports Obaidul Quader late last night.
The cricketers who earlier declared that they would not play in any selection of the BCB unless their demands for lifting of the ban on seven cricketers was fulfilled,finally agreed to take the field against the visiting MCC after being assured by the State Minister that he would personally look into the matter and come out with a solution after the return of board president Saber Hossain Chowdhury from the USA.
Talking to The Daily Star, Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh(CWAB) president Minhazul Abedin said that the State Minister has given his assurance that he would solve the problem after talking to Saber Hossain on his return. Saber is scheduled to return today.
Now, the cricketers, selected for the BCB President's Eleven, are scheduled to fly to Rajshahi today for their three-day match against MCC which starts tomorrow.
