Khaleda visits residences of number of political victims
BNP Chairperson and Leader of the Opposition Begum Khaleda Zia on Monday visited residences of some of the victims who were killed recently and conveyed her sympathy to the members of the bereaved families, reports BSS.
She went to the residences of Sajal Chowdhury, Rubel, Akbar and Rina Begum in the city Monday night and enquired about the wellbeing of the members of the victim families.
She also exchanged Eid greetings with them.
At the Rayerbazar residence of Sajal, who was gunned down allegedly by the goons, Begum Zia was received by the parents of Sajal.
At the Malibagh residence of Rubel, who was allegedly killed in police custody, Rubel's parents received the BNP Chairperson.
At Jatrabari residence of Rina Begum, who was allegedly killed during a recent hartal, the Leader of the Opposition patted the two kids of late Rina and enquired about the wellbeing of the family. She gave the two kids some gifts.
At the Dholaikhal residence of Akbar, Begum Zia was received by Akbar's parents.
Khondkher Mahbubuddin, Sadeq Hossain Khoka, Mirza Abbas, Selima Rahman, Zainal Abedin Faruq and Salauddin Ahmed accompanied the BNP Chairperson.
Begum Zia also hosted two separate receptions in honour of the diplomats and citizens at the official residence of the Leader of Opposition at Minto Road in the Eid day.
