Jaya-Mahfuz pair up for new film

Animesh Aich is beginning shooting for a new film, with Jaya Ahsan and Mahfuz Ahmed in the lead roles. The announcement of the film, titled “Zero Degree” came from a press conference in the city yesterday.
The cast will also include Tariq Anam Khan, Telisamad, Rabbi, Shirin Alam and Ruhi.
Mahfuz Ahmed said the film is a complete commercial production targeted for the theatres and not for TV, and expressed hopes that the audience will find a wholesome story in it.
Jaya Ahsan said she is not working in TV plays and concentrating solely on film, and remained optimistic about giving the audience a good film.
Replying to a query, director Animesh Aich said it is an interesting film, and the reason behind the naming will become apparent once the film comes out.
A song by Nancy, made for the film, was also played at the event.
“Zero Degree” is being produced by Play House Productions, and will begin filming on November 1.
