ICC's venue inspection after Eid
The International Cricket Council's (ICC's) team's visit to Bangladesh to check on the progress of the T20 world cup venues, which was scheduled for August 7, has been delayed till after Eid.
Speaking to The Daily Star Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB's) acting CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said: “The ICC team will arrive soon after Eid. Our progress with regards to the stadiums in question is going as planned. We had visited the venues recently and we remain confident.”
Installation of floodlights and preparation of the grandstand are the major challenges in Sylhet. Since last month the army has joined in the construction of the temporary stadium in Cox's Bazar, which will host the women's edition of the global event.
