Huge Indian rupees seized at Ctg airport
Customs seized a huge amount of Indian currencies from a Bangladeshi national at the Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport this afternoon.
Aftafizur Rahman, 42, a Cox's Bazar resident, was held at the airport around 5:30pm, reports our Chittagong correspondent.
Around Tk 3.12 crore worth of Indian rupees were found in Aftafizur's luggage, said Md Mosear Rahman, assistant commissioner of airport customs.
On information, customs searched the bags of Aftafizur who came by an Oman Airline's flight from Mascot that landed at the airport around 5:00pm, the customs official added.
