Housewife raped at Madertek

Seven youths raped a housewife in front of her two children at Madartek in the city Wednesday night. The youths allegedly led by Shafi, son of her landlord, raped her when her trucker husband was not home, she complained to police.

They entered the flat at around 10:00pm during a power cut and raped the 28year-old lady.

She also named two of the rapists as Saiful and Khokon, friends of Shafi.

A case was filed with the Sabujbag Police Station the same night.

Police admitted the lady to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) yesterday morning.

Sabujbag police said they raided some houses in Madartek area for the alleged rapists, but could not arrest anyone.
