Still Littered With Eid Greetings

With placards and banners, local political leaders, in their striving for fame and to get noticed, greet people on Eid. That was weeks ago. The photos taken over the last three days in Paltan, Old Dhaka, Matshya Bhaban, Badamtoli and Bijoy Nagar areas show how the capital has been littered. The placards and banners are not only making the city look less beautiful, but some of them have also been placed precariously, like on overhead cables and traffic lights.
