Govt to talk Jamaat propaganda with Islamic leaders
The government will hold meetings with Muslim religious leaders at every upazila across the country from Wednesday to create awareness against the propaganda of Jamaat-Shibir.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs will organise the meetings.
Announcing the programme at a press briefing on Tuesday, State Minister for Religious Affairs Shahjahan Mia condemned the recent attacks on minority communities.
“Those people are attacking minorities, defiling national flags in the name of religion do not want independence of the country,” the minister said.
He called upon all religious leaders including khatibs, imams, muajjin and religious people of the country to resist the fundamental forces.
