Govt reiterates bounty for prime suspect's whereabouts
The home ministry yesterday re-announced a Tk 1 lakh bounty for information leading to the arrest of Mustafizur Rahman, a prime suspect in garment workers leader Aminul Islam murder case.
In a press statement, the ministry said the information provider would be paid after the arrest of Mustafizur, son of Shamsher Biswas at Kadirpara village in Magura's Sripur.
Aminul -- former president of Savar and Ashulia units of Bangladesh Garment and Industrial Workers Federation, and an organiser of Bangladesh Centre for Workers Solidarity, an NGO working for labour rights -- went missing from Ashulia on April 4 last year.
His body was found on the highway near Ghatail Police Station the following day.
On March 12, the bounty was first announced.
