Prepared in unhealthy conditions, bottom, and without BSTI approval, 500 kilograms of vermicelli (lachchha semai) are being dumped in the Buriganga river. A BSTI mobile court yesterday raided Sagar Food Products factory in Borishur area of Keraniganj, sealed it and penalised it Tk 50,000 for producing substandard vermicelli targeting Eid-ul-Fitr.
